Richard Clabaugh graduated with a bachelor of pharmacy science from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1976. Rick and his wife Linda bought Clabaugh Pharmacy in 1980 when it was a traditional hometown retail pharmacy. In 1996 Rick decided to join the Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA), which greatly increased his compounding business in a matter of a few months. After being the only pharmacist at Clabaugh Pharmacy for 24 years his son Nathan joined the pharmacy in 2004.

In 2004 after receiving his Doctorate of Pharmacy, he decided to specialize in compounding at his father’s pharmacy.
